Workshops will cover the main techniques of writing through a series of exercises, class discussions and assignments.
Aimed at  novice/intermediate writers of fiction, the practices discussed will be common to both short story
and novel writing.

Introduction- different forms: story, novels, life-writing, journalism
Character - creation and development
Location - setting and content
Plot - the arrangement of incidents
Dialogue - purpose, techniques and voices
Research – the role
Finding a voice - first and third person, authorial voice
